Grant to build a primary health care centre
In the catchment area of the municipality of Oravská Lesná it was necessary to integrate general and specialized health care with social services into one contact point.
The problem
The municipality of Oravská Lesná had a building for primary care, but the building did not meet modern temperature and barrier-free standards. This condition hindered the expansion of health services despite the interest of residents and doctors.
Goal
The aim of the project was to modernise the health centre and acquire specialised equipment to increase the number of doctors on site and improve patient management.
Duration / Duration
In December 2018, an application for NFP was submitted to the Ministry of Health. In August 2019, a contract was signed with the Ministry. Construction work started in January 2020 and was completed in December 2020, the building was signed off in May 2021. In February 2022, the interior fittings and medical equipment were delivered and the project was completed.
Result
After the implementation of the project, the Integrated Health Care Centre was created, which provides its patients with basic primary integrated care in the scope of 5 outpatient clinics of primary health care physicians, premises for rehabilitation workplace, ADOS facilities and social services of the day centre at one contact point. Modern instrumentation allows for faster and more accurate diagnosis of diseases. The patient in need of health care receives the necessary services in one geographically accessible place, has the possibility to communicate about the expected time of examination as well as to carry out further electronic communication with the health care provider.
