Purchase of medical equipment at the National Institute of Childhood Diseases
NUDCH responded to a call for replenishment of instrumentation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The problem
The insufficient number and obsolescence of diagnostic equipment caused long downtimes in patient examinations and postponement of examinations, which became evident during the COVID-19 pandemic, when thorough disinfection of the equipment was required. Therefore, there was a need to replenish the instrumentation from external sources.
Objective
The objective of the project was to upgrade and supplement the medical equipment.
Duration / Duration
We entered the project after approval as the client needed to go through the project implementation process comprehensively. We set up project management and started the project implementation in March 2022. We completed the project in November 2022.
Result
After the implementation of the project, the client received modern diagnostic equipment, including ultrasound machines, a mobile ENT examination unit and a germicidal robot. Thanks to efficient project management - price optimisation, procurement savings and change procedures - two innovative medical devices that were urgently needed by the client at the time were additionally included in the budget: a mobile "C-arm" X-ray machine and a laparoscopic set-up. Our experts ensured maximum use of the funds, which led to the successful completion of the project and a significant increase in the quality of the client's medical services.
